A while back I got into a conversation with some friends about what our UTAU would look like if we would have designed them today as opposed to when we first made them, and I became really infatuated with the idea of starting from scratch on them and seeing what’s changed between then and now. Before I knew it, I was completely revamping them, so here we are now haha!
I’ve drawn a lot of formal concept arts for my UTAU in the past, but they were always just static images with boring poses. So, this time around, I decided I wanted to go for images that were more illustrative—something that told more about their character and that showed more effort. I experimented a lot with these and learned a lot doing them. I’m unhappy with some points of the pics, but happy with others as well, so I had fun making them.
That being said, these are Hayari Kanbine, Violetta, Kasui Kamene and TATARI's new designs:
Shout-out to Temi, Shiva and Ally for helping me redline a few things during the process! This was a very fun project and I learned a lot.
